Color Field Series…themes of color.
I started doing these monochromatic collages after making backgrounds of one color as the beginning of working – for a sky or backdrop to a still life. The backgrounds were looking very interesting all by themselves, so I concentrated on monotones interspersed with bits of complementary color to accent the overall scheme. I’ve started with the primary colors… “Blue Mood, Red Medley, Amarillo… and then a variation Green Kaleidoscope came along."
